One of the first devices homeowners invest in when equipping their smart homes is connected lighting. There are several options on the market that provide automatic lighting control — from Wi-Fi-based light bulbs that you can buy on Amazon to smart switches and dimmers that take place of old switches on the walls.
But smart lighting systems with centralized lighting control can do a better job. They outperform their competitors in speed and efficiency. Such systems allow homeowners to remotely control both individual lights and groups of lights in large rooms using just one device — a mobile phone.
For this project, Softarex has developed a Lighting Management Application for software and hardware solution that enables the owners of smart homes to remotely control the lighting — turn on and off, change the brightness, and more — from their mobile phones.
Our app initializes a set of multiple DALI ballasts, devices used to control the voltage, current, and waveform of electric discharge lamps, and provides a GUI (graphical user interface) that allows EnOcean wireless switches to be set to specific actions (turning on/off) for individual ballasts so that users can adjust the lighting with a single click of a button. Colorful icons and other visual indicators in the GUI make the management of lighting devices even more convenient for homeowners.
The use of our Lighting Management Application brings the following benefits to homeowners and businesses:
